Location One was founded by Crispin Hardy, an expert in managing film and TV location shooting. The Location One website provides all the equipment required for filming on location.
A site to sell location equipment does not sound difficult, but there is quite a wide demographic of people working in the film and TV industry and making a website to appeal to the highest number of visitors was quite challenging. In addition to the ambiguous design specifications the website also needed a sign designer for customers to design their own signs and a download area for information about filming applications.
The corporate colours of Location One are orange and white and the website was set against a soft grey background so that key text on the website could be kept white matching the Location One logo. A heavy emphasis was placed on product and services on the homepage so that anyone viewing the site at a glance can be drawn toward the products or services that interest them.

The Location One website is a very simple website that is focused on selling products in a no non-sense way. The sign designer was almost as fun to create as it is to use, have a look on the Location One website to create your own sign and see for yourself.
